Quiet for the Summer

Journal Entry: Sun Jun 29, 2008, 5:14 AM
  • Mood: Dumbfounded
Greetings all,

Well summer from me goes hand in hand with unreliable to non-existent internet connection. So I won't be around much, and will generally be quite quiet. Though having just won a three month subscription is seems a pity to leave it idle for two months. So I decided to use my shiny new subscription for *Bokkaku to feature you, my watchers. I'll change it every few weeks or so until I've covered everyone
Thank you all for your continued support over the last few years, it means a lot to me..
In order of oldest to most recent

*Mishuku

Scary Stuff

  • Reading: Letter from IADT
Well college is out, back to self disciplined learning. ugh. As usual I'm working way to fast.
It's weird to be heading into college next year. I still don't know what I want to do!! So far I've gotten past the portfolio stage of the two colleges I was aiming for with high marks, NCAD and IADT (I actually got 600 out of 600 for modelmaking, and not much less in Animation)

I still don't even know if I want to study art... *tears hair*

In other news, our end of year exhibition opens tomorrow night, so we spent the morning setting up. Whatever glue was in the tape on the back of most pieces was melting in the sun so pieces kept dropping off the walls. Some of them were pretty damaged by it too (including one of mine). By tomorrow probably all the work will be on the floor....

It's scary all these things ending and culminating on me. It means I have to make decisions *hides under bed*. Not good at all...

Commissions are open now that I have time on my hands :eyes:

So what are you doing??
I'm not going to tell you to run out and burn flags, give money or join an organisation. People who are that way inclined tend to do that all by themselves. Here's what I'm asking; talk about it. Find out what facts here are wrong, or misrepresented in your opinion (every source will give you different stats). Why is this wrong? What would be better? Talk to friends and families, challenge your teachers. Next time somebody is bitching about a bad hair day over a lunch millions of people won't get, give them something to think about. Especially talk to the people who disagree with you...

EDIT: With this buzzing around my mind, I started this club; :artistsagainstapathy:
Come, join, speak and think

I got into NCAD!!!!
(national college of art and design).

I got the letter about a week ago and I'm still in shock! I thought NCAD was generally reserved for re-incarnates of Da Vinci and the unbelieveably talented :faint:

In other, less shocking news, on work experience in a jewellers for two weeks, which is fun.. you would not believe the amount of work that goes into a pair of cufflinks. It takes about 8 people to make one! Having a ball, haven't killed myself yet, though I've burned myself a few times. Molten gold is the weirdest looking thing you've ever seen...
